WE Have Been going through something

It is no secret that Black men face unique circumstances, including economic, healthcare, and educational disparities, systemic racism, and social injustice. These factors have contributed to what many understand to be a mental health crisis among Black men. For many Black men, it can feel like there is pressure from all sides, and they are in a constant war to find peace, if only for a moment. The rapper, poet, and philanthropist Kendrick Lamar taps into the collective consciousness of all Black men when he laments, "I have been going through something...1,855 days." Yet, we know that Black men can find peace of mind in this lifetime.

Who we are

Jamaa Health is fighting health inequities through access and education. We are building the largest database of black healthcare professionals globally, where patients can locate black physicians and healthcare providers by location, specialty, and insurance. We aim to eliminate healthcare disparities by connecting patients with physicians and other healthcare providers of color who will provide unbiased and qualified care. We also provide education and resources to patients and providers to actively fights bias and inequities while centering the patient in their healthcare journey.Diasporic Soul offers heritage and healing experiences for Black people, including mind-body-spirit interventions that intentionally integrate SOUL (culture) and contemplative practices. Diasporic Soul was founded by Phyllis Jeffers-Coly and her husband, Idrissa Eddy Coly in 2016. Phyllis (CYT-600) is a long-time educator and author of We Got Soul; We Can Heal: Overcoming Racial Trauma Through Leadership, Community and Resilience.
